**Oregon Activists**2 Protests for Elephants This Month (December 15th and 19th)****************************************************************************

Join the Protest at Opening of Elephant “Waste” Lands on Tuesday, December 15th

FOZE Ele WastelandsThis protest is sponsored by Free the Oregon Zoo Elephants (FOZE) and IDA (In Defense of Animals) to counter the propaganda about the zoo’s new “Elephant Lands” exhibit, which we call “Elephant Waste Lands” because of all the wasted tax dollars spent on an inadequate habitat and because of the wasted lives of the elephants who are forced to reside there.

What: Protest of Elephant “Waste” Lands
When: Tuesday, December 15, 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Where: Oregon Zoo main entrance, 4001 SW Canyon Rd, Portland, OR 97221

We will have flyers and signs, so all you need to do is show up and show your support for the elephants who are relying on us.

If you can’t make it, join the FOZE Demo at Zoo Lights on Saturday, December 19 to advocate to free Packy.

****************************************************************************

FOZE and IDA are sponsoring a demo to share the message that Packy needs to be released to sanctuary to the thousands of Zoo Lights visitors who descend on the zoo every year. We will sing special carols and distribute informational handouts to the zoo visitors.

What: Demo at Zoo Lights
When: Saturday, December 19, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
Where: Oregon Zoo main entrance, 4001 SW Canyon Rd, Portland, OR 97221

Special instructions–We suggest you take the MAX, as the parking lots will be packed and you will need to take a shuttle bus from the shuttle lot.
