Great news! Eight million Chinese citizens have raised their voices against the cruel cat and dog meat trade! Each voted via the Chinese government’s own website in support of proposed legislation calling for a ban of the trade. It is reported to be the largest involvement ever for a public proposal.

The tide is most definitely turning.

The millions of cats and dogs, many stolen family members, tortured each year for their flesh, now have millions of voices officially speaking out on their behalf. No longer can the justification be that of “culture.” It is not only international pressure calling for an end to the brutal trade and Yulin Dog Meat “Festival,” but China’s own citizens.
