Emergency Response Unit Coordinator
Eric has been with IDA for six years and currently fills the role of IDA’s Emergency Response Unit Coordinator.
Eric knew from an early age that he was destined to help animals. He went vegetarian at eighteen and then vegan after learning of the inherent cruelty in the dairy and egg industries. He has worked in a number of different roles in animal rights and welfare over the years, including managing the A/V Department at PETA and as a facilities manager at a no-kill animal shelter. Eric traveled to the Gulf to work on the ground in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina helping with animal rescue efforts. He has also been a frequent visitor at IDA’s Hope Animal Sanctuary to assist during times of staffing shortages.
Eric is active in companion animal issues and volunteers his time with trap-neuter-return (TNR) projects. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his cats Pants and Emmy.
