Activist Awards Announced

Thank you for participating in our first ever Activist Appreciation Month! Together, we’ve sent thousands of letters of support to activist Kelly Lehman and activist journalists in Zimbabwe, initiated partnerships with leading animal protection organizations to provide support services for animal activists, “shared the love” with fellow activists with our Valentine’s appreciation images, and nominated deserving activists to receive Activist Awards.

We are pleased to announce that the following animal activists each received an award and prize offered by our Sustainable Activism Campaign.

Pamela Gale Malhotra with the Save Animals Initiative Sanctuary in the Western Ghats of southern India was awarded for her work as the primary caretaker of animals at the Sanctuary, a 300-acre preserve that is home to numerous rare and threatened animal species, and over 300 different kinds of birds. She also advocates for the environment and does charity work as the only health professional in remote villages in the Himalayas and in Kodagu District.

Molly Salt with Animal Liberation South Australia was awarded for her tireless efforts in animal advocacy and because she is so friendly and passionate.

Sidney Dent was awarded for feeding a group of feral cats, volunteering for “Save A Bunny” every Sunday, attending protests, working on animal issues, and constantly helping other living beings, including people. She is currently learning Spanish to improve her animal advocacy skills. Sidney is 70 and full of energy!

Now, we would like to thank you for all you do for animals by giving you a special gift: 10 Sustainable Activism tips from “The World Peace Diet” author Dr. Will Tuttle and “10 Keys to Staying Positive Facing Animal Abuse.”

Extend Activist Appreciation Month throughout the year by participating in our ongoing free support services for animal activists:
