Thanks to dedicated animal advocates like you, California bill SB 675 has been dropped! We suspect that this bill would have been amended to allow for “humanely produced” foie gras. This would have negatively compromised California’s ban on the production and sale of this egregiously cruel “delicacy.”
Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam vetoes the proposed “ag gag” bill. Ag Gag bills seek to criminalize individuals who document animal abuse in slaughterhouses and on factory farms. Without the evidence that undercover video provides, the worst abuses committed by the factory farming industry would go unseen and unpunished.
