Beat the Holiday Blues

Beat the Holiday Blues

Fall is in the air as we turn our hearts and minds towards the upcoming holidays. With a dead turkey as the centerpiece, Thanksgiving can be a challenging holiday for many animal activists. Explaining why you don’t want to participate in the family ritual of eating a turkey can result in conflict or even outright mockery.

Fortunately, our next online support group falls on Thanksgiving Day, the perfect opportunity to share your concerns about interacting with family over the holidays. Let’s enjoy a peaceful holiday together with others who share our values of compassion for all sentient beings.

In the true spirit of Thanksgiving, we will express our gratitude for supportive people in our lives, devoted animal companions, and recent progress made towards animal liberation. For fun, we can share recipes like seasoned mash potatoes, candied yams, pumpkin-pecan pie, festive kale salads, and tofu turkey!

Join our Animal Activist Online Support Group on Thursday, November 24, 5:00 p.m. – 6 p.m. PDT (8:00 p.m. – 9 p.m. EDT) hosted by Sustainable Activism Campaign Director Lisa Levinson. You can join this live webinar via phone or online. For an optimal experience, please login to the meeting from your Chrome browser.
