After four years as Chef/Owner of La Folie in Taos, New Mexico, The Plaza Hotel lured Marc to New York City to revitalize the menu for their legendary Oak Room. After two successful years in the Oak Room, The Plaza New York promoted Marc to its main kitchen as Executive Banquet Chef. In this role, Marc oversaw many celebrity events, including the wedding of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. He has also made several appearances on Nickelodeon's U-Pick Live as the "Mad Chef", ABC's Morning Show, The Food Network's Extreme Cuisine, Best Of... and the Discovery Channel. His recipes have been highlighted in The New York Times, Food Art Magazine, Local Flavor and The Santa Fean. In addition, Marc has collaborated on a number of Orphic Feast food-art projects in New York, France, and Tokyo. Now based in St. Louis, Marc was previously the Executive Chef of Red Moon restaurant. Under his leadership, the restaurant was named one of the top 21 new Asian Restaurants in the U.S. by Food and Wine Magazine. Marc has also received immense local praise with reviews in Sauce Magazine, RiverFront Times, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and Where magazine. Recently, he had the pleasure of serving as chef consultant for Jill Clayburgh, for her role as the star of the Broadway show, "A Naked Girl on the Appian Way". Marc is the new Culinary Director of the Whole Lifestyle Center at Whole Foods Market offering several monthly cooking classes and events. Joey has a colorful and varied (20) twenty year history in the Marketing, Public Relations & Event Planning industry. Working as an "independent" in the San Francisco Bay Area, he is known for contributing vast amounts of energy, creativity and talent toward the success of events such as Macy's Passport Fashion Show, Sausilito Art Festival, and has created events for such esteemed companies as Bob Mackie Fashions, Thierry Mugler, Oscar de la Renta, Hubert de Givency(with the late Audrey Hepburn), San Francisco Opera & Ballet, the De Young and Asian Museum, I. Magnin and Gentlemen's Quarterly Magazine (GQ). In 1994, "Special Events Magazine" honored Joey with a nomination for "Best Event for 1994" when his company at the time, "Bang Bang Party Productions" produced an outstanding event at Fort Mason in San Francisco entitled "Alexis in Wonderland" a fantasy driven event spanning a space that would be the equivalent of three football fields long. Relocating to Los Angeles, California, Mr. Galon worked with a prestigious event planning company and was responsible for contributing his talents for the marketing and production of movie premiere opening parties such as Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Twentieth Century Fox' Grand Canyon and Radio Flyer. In addition to movie premiers, Joey was on the design team for the production of events for the Super Bowl in Minneapolis and for the Major League Baseball, Earth Day at Universal Studios and Project Angel Food in Santa Monica. In Las Vegas, Joey has held the positions as Catering and Convention Sales Manager for the Desert Inn Resort and for the Hard Rock Casino including General Manager for a production show in Pusan, Korea featuring a cast of 65 dancers and showgirls, specialty acts showcased in the grand opening of a five star, Japanese owned Hotel Lotte Pusan. In 2000, Joey opened and founded Matrix Events, Inc. a full service event design company. His clientele included such prestigious companies such as Ford Motor Company, Kentworth, Tiger Woods Foundation, Consorzio of Mexico, March of Dimes, Aid for Aids of Nevada, United Blood Services, Las Vegas Philharmonic, Lalique, Four Seasons Hotel, Furniture Direct, Palms Casino and Station Casinos. Joey and his creative team of artisans produced events for renowned clients as American Express, Prudential, Ritz Carlton, USA Interactive for Barry Diller, Artisan Home Movies, International Platinum Group, Fox TV and more. In the summer of 2003, Joey was hired independently as chief producer for the 30th Anniversary of PSI Seminars and its annual event named "Principia", a seven day event for 500 attendees featuring daily special events and renown key note speakers including: Deepak Chopra, Mark Victor Hanson, Bob Proctor, Byron Katie and Reverend Michael Beckwith. Recent productions include PSI Seminars 2006 with Dr. Dimartini, Mary Manin Morrisey, Dr. Pat Allen and other key note officials, Agape Revelation Conference 2006, World Peace 1, and many other projects in the Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Maui-Hawaii and Manila, Philippines.
