Tia the cat was born blind. She was taken care of by a kind elderly gentleman who had helped many animals over the years. One day, a few months ago, she fell from a third floor balcony and was brought to IDA India’s Deonar Center for emergency care.

Our veterinarians treated her leg injuries, and Tia soon regained her balance and the use of her legs. During this time her guardian became ill and called on us to take care of Tia in case he didn’t recover. Sadly, he died shortly thereafter, and we, of course, kept our promise. Tia stayed with us at the IDA India Center while we set to work searching out a new home for her.

As soon as Tia met the wonderful Misra family, she knew immediately that she was meant to be with them! Little Tia Misra is now a much-adored and very spoiled member of the family. She loves playing with her sound ball, staying close to her new guardian and mom Shreya, who she keeps company while she works at home.
