For the size of this facility the frequency in which inspections are conducted and the number of non-compliant items cited seem inappropriate. This is another facility I have visited on a number of occasions, the last which undercover footage was obtained for "Hard Copy". In all of the older inspection reports that include an item by item checklist of requirements those for transportation have never been seen. This is outrageous especially in view of the volume of puppies produced and shipped from the facility. Additionally, an inspection conducted on February 22, 1996 cites the licensee for a records violation but cites the section that applies to dealers rather than that applicable to brokers. I seriously question the competence of the inspector for this facility. On October 2, 1996 there were 435 puppies on hand at the kennel yet the transport enclosures nor primary means of conveyance were inspected.
