The Shaw’s do not have a sufficient number of inspection reports for evaluation, however, this is yet another facility that I have personally visited. I was not granted access to the whelping barn but was allowed entry into a building where weaned puppies were held. The building was extremely cluttered and had an area where parakeets were kept. I did not notice any devices that could be used to ventilate the building and it was in dire need of cleaning. Cleaning had been cited in one of the inspection reports, however, the most recent cited no non-compliant items. The inspection reports do reveal problems with the inspections in any case. Again, at last inspection there were 73 puppies on the premises yet transport enclosures have been overlooked during each inspection.
