Our Kitten is no longer Parrot-Hungry

How wonderful! Thank you. We have been petting the parrot and talking kindly to both while allowing the kitten to watch. We have also been giving the kitten treats when he ignores the bird. These are special treats only used when parrot training. The kitten seems to be settling in more and more each day. I appreciate your help and I will look into your CD.

Hillary Babied Our Baby

I'm entering our cat (really, my husband's cat, Hillary) in the fabulousover-13 contest. Hillary was 13 when she died, but in the year or two before she died, she was absolutely wonderful with my son who was then a baby. She tolerated him hugging her and would just bat at Him lightly when she'd had enough. Nothing he ever did fazed her. She was terrific and we still miss her dearly.

Post Vet Angst

When my cat Bird attacked her companion Blue on his return from the vet, there was no way I could get her to accept him again. These were two cats who had adored each other and now all of that was over. I didn't want to live between closed doors but whatever I tried didn't work. Carole Wilbourn was able to help me to regain my happy family.

Peaches and Pumpkin

My cats Peaches and Pumpkin were adopted from the Animal Rescues League. They were each about a year old. I adopted Peaches to be a companion for Pumpkin and used the Wilbourn Way to introduce them. Pumpkin will be seven this year and Peaches will be three. One look at their photo and you can see I have two cats that absolutely adore each other. The Wilbourn Way works!

Jazzbo-Inter-Car-Hostility

Our Jazzbo is so much happier since her session at the library. Now that we know how to interact with her-so Frankie doesn't torment her, we're all in good spirits. Thanks for enlightening us. It was group therapy.

Kitten Inro - The Wilbourn Way

Dear Carole,
Just wanted to let you know that after four weeks Jake and Atticus (Attie) are doing great! Actually only two days after Attie moved in they were sleeping near one another and Jake was cleaning Attie. Jake is natural in the process and takes care of Attie. We couldn’t be happier. What made the whole transition successful was introducing Attie and Jake as you described—by having Jake find him. It was hard not to pay attention to Attie for the first few weeks but we could feel the process working as Jake and he bonded to one another. The family feels quite harmonious. We thank you for your great advice, insight and support.

Successful Math - The Wilbourn Way

We brought in an 8 year old black female on March 3rd on a trial basis for our lonely male cat. After two weeks, we finalized her adoption and the two are getting along just great.
Thank you so much for your advice.

Our Runaway Cat Is Rescued

“Hoorah for Cats On The Couch! Winston is about 5 years old. The other day he took off and was gone for 4 days. Today he came back and ran under our shed next to the house. He has never been an outdoor cat. I put food and water under the shed for him and he was starting to warm up to me. Stupidly, I grabbed him by the neck and tried to pull him out from under the shed. He screamed and dug in. I immediately let go. He became unapproachable! We live in a rural area. I was terrified. He could take off and never return. I was so grateful for Carole Wilbourn’s rapid email reply. Her advice worked. Winston is so happy to be back home. We are thrilled. It was wonderful to find Carole’s column on In Defense of Animals’ site and be able to get Help immediately.”
