When the “Celebration” Ends, the Torture Continues

Various festivals in Asia prompt an increase in the number of dogs eaten. Sadly, when such “celebrations” end, the torture continues.

In South Korea, approximately two million dogs are currently condemned to dog meat farms. They are born into filth, living in barren metal cages and in their own feces. Their paws never touch the grass. They only leave this prison when yanked out, forced into an even smaller cage and trucked to one of the various markets. At the market they will wait until a shopper chooses them – for dinner. They will then again be yanked out, dragged into the back and brutally slaughtered. It is horrifying and it must end.

If you haven’t yet done so, please sign our automated alert which will send a letter on your behalf urging Jae-Myung Lee, Mayor of Seongnam, to end the selling of dogs for their flesh at the Seongnam Moran Market and call for an end to the dog meat industry in South Korea.
