Companions Not Cuisine

Korean New Year International Awareness Campaign

The family is the center of attention during Korean New Year. All members of the family are celebrated on this important holiday.

In honor of Korean New Year on February 10, we are asking that this celebration, and its focus on respect, be expanded to include dogs and cats– both those who are companion animals, and those who are not.

Joining with us, IDA supporters have participated in our international awareness campaign by taking photos of their companion animals posing with “Companion Not Cuisine” signs.

Tragically, many dogs and cats in South Korea are living tormented lives, tortured to death as victims of the dog and cat meat trade. This heartless industry kills two and a half million dogs each year, along with an estimated one hundred thousand cats.

Please help IDA help dogs and cats in South Korea!
