A recent arrival to In Defense of Animals’ India Center is a dog admitted with a severe and potentially fatal wound encircling his neck. As a small pup, a rope had been tied around his neck, and tragically, left there as he grew. Over time, the rope cut in deeper and deeper, tightening around his neck and becoming embedded.

The kind people who found and adopted him removed the rope, saw this horrific injury, and brought him to our Center for medical treatment. The wound was so wide that it had to be stitched while he was under anesthesia. Soon after, he was also neutered.

As he healed, his handsome face brightened and this wonderful dog sprang back to life. We at IDA India commend our hard-working veterinarians for their tireless effort and dedication. They, along with their team of assistants and other staff, work against tremendous odds at our Centers and never give up. Thanks to all of them and his new family, this brave chap has a second chance to enjoy a life free of suffering. Thanks to all of you for your support of our efforts.
