We recently informed you about the live baiting scandal in the Australian greyhound racing industry. Small animals, including rabbits and piglets, are pulled around a track, chased by greyhounds, and mauled to death, a practice not only cruel, but also illegal. However, even with all the coverage and public outrage, one company has yet to pull their funding and support from this blood sport.

In response to this scandal, the industry’s most prestigious awards night has been cancelled and many sponsors have already pulled their funding from events. However, ATC Insurance Solutions, an Australian company, has yet to pull their support of The Australian Cup. Even with video evidence of the cruelty endured by animals at the hands of the racing industry, the company has yet to sever their ties.

It is time to stand together and speak up against the atrocities of the greyhound racing industry.  Not only are greyhounds used and disposed of as trash in this industry, but many other animals are also killed in the name of the sport. This inhumane sport must end, and now that the truth has been revealed, there is no better time than now.
