FORMER MR. UNIVERSE REVEALS VEGAN POWERS AT AUSTRALIA’S HIGH SCHOOLS

Gold Coast, Australia (February 16, 2016) – International animal protection organization, In Defense of Animals, is pleased to announce the launch of their “Strength in Kindness” High School tour led by former Mr. Universe, Billy Simmonds.

When Billy Simmonds isn’t busy being Batman, teaching kids martial arts, or winning Mr. Universe, he enjoys touring Australia, teaching Aussie high school students about the importance of eating healthy, staying fit and acting with kindness towards fellow human beings and animals.

To celebrate his 10th year of health and animal advocacy, Mr. Simmonds is touring Australian High Schools on a mission to inspire young adults to lead a life of strength and kindness.

‘’I’m hoping that this next generation, through education, will be inspired to make more conscious choices for their health, our environment, and honor their role as ‘our brothers keeper’ for all earth’s animals by choosing compassion over cruelty’’ said former Mr. Universe, Billy Simmonds.

“In a world where young adults have more access to celebrity culture than ever before, it is incredibly important to have inspiring, healthy role-models who embody the positive qualities necessary to foster for a better tomorrow: Kindness, strength and good health,” said Dr. Marilyn Kroplick, President of In Defence of Animals.

The Billy Simmonds “Strength and Kindness” tour kicks off on February 23 in the Gold Coast, Australia, before moving to Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and finally Perth.

Each “Strength in Kindness” talk covers Australian curriculum years 9-10 Health and Physical Education content: Food and nutrition, Health benefits of physical activity, and mental health and well-being.
