Adopted Puppy from Hope Animal Sanctuary – See Her Now

In July of 2014, a kind-hearted person rescued five abandoned puppies from a gravel road and brought them to IDA’s Hope Animal Sanctuary in Grenada, Mississippi. It appeared they had just barely been weaned and were very thin and had parasites as many puppies do when they are not cared for properly. Sanctuary staff gave them the loving care they needed and then placed them with rescue partner White River Animal Rescue in Vermont and all of the babies found perfect homes in the Northeast.

Recently we received an email from one of the guardians of one of the adopted pups.

Here is what was said:

“I thought you might enjoy these photos taken early this week before the blizzard added another 2+ feet of snow. Ruca, formerly known as Chrissy, is still growing. She loves the snow, her many toys, her big sister Harley, Vermont, us, and her life! She is smart, fun, beautiful…and has begun to boss poor Harley around. Thank you for the work you do!”

We always love happy updates on animals we’ve played a part in helping to rescue and care for. Thanks for the part you’ve played in helping us help them.
