Our Hope Animal Sanctuary is Overflowing With Puppies!

Spring will soon be here and with spring comes and overwhelming amount of puppies and kittens!  Just last week, Sharon Stone, Operations Manager at In Defense of Animals Hope Animal Sanctuary in Grenada, Mississippi was asked to find homes for five puppies.  The mother dog, who we named Molly, was just one of thousands of dogs who are not spayed or neutered and that means there is a flood of puppies every year desperately needing homes.   These five are some of the lucky ones.

Molly was living on the streets in a rural area of Mississippi when she caught the eye of a family that lived nearby.  She was very thin and struggling to survive and the family coaxed her to come into their home and began feeding her.  Within a few weeks they knew the awful truth – Molly was pregnant!

When the puppies were 5 weeks old and weaned, the family contacted us and asked for our help with them.  The puppies are all safe now at Hope Animal Sanctuary where they received vital vaccinations and worming medications. In a few weeks, they will be headed to forever homes and Molly will be spayed and will find her forever home as well.

Sadly, there are many more puppies that need rescue and your donations can help us save them too!
