IDA Launches Animal Activist Helpline

IDA Launches Animal Activist Helpline

IDA is excited to announce that we’re launching an Animal Activist Helpline as part of our Sustainable Activism Campaign! This service is the very first of its kind, offering free self-help resources and emotional support for animal activists. Our goal is to help animal activists gain clarity on their missions, work effectively and efficiently, create successful and satisfying careers, balance activism with the rest of their life, and avoid (or heal from) burnout and trauma. This nationwide service will be free, confidential, and available via phone or email.

Seeking Volunteers & Practitioners

We are seeking adult volunteers with a background in psychology or animal rights activism who are interested in undertaking training to become a counselor for this helpline service. We are also building a practitioner referral list for callers to contact a professional in their area who is sensitive to animal activist trauma. To help, please contact us at helpline@idausa.org.
