A major goal at IDA India is always to help the next generation become kind and compassionate, and so our staff created the “Compassionate Children’s Club” to instill in children sensitivity and consideration for animals, as well as interest in the cause of animal welfare. We are busy preparing easy-to-perform and enjoyable activities like essay and poetry writing, drawing and painting competitions, poster and card making, and more, with prizes to be awarded to winners in certain age groups. Most of the activities will be on-line (via parent’s email id) so that children can participate in competitions from home or during free time and submitted by email.

IDA India staff also encourages children to write, compose, or draw for IDA India’s new e-magazine, which will be published online every month. To become a member, a child can fill out the enrollment form and send it back by email.

Our aim is to help children to learn as much as they can about other living beings who share this Earth with us and to understand more about them. As an animal welfare NGO working directly with animals on the ground in India for the last two decades, we are in a perfect position to help guide them towards this understanding.
