Join Rally Against China’s Dog and Cat Meat Industry

Calling all those in the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend! Now’s the time to show up and speak out for all the dogs and cats suffering in China’s dog and cat meat industry.

Our friends at Duo Duo will be holding a rally this Saturday, September 26 at San Francisco’s Union Square. Since California is a “sister state” with Guangdong, China, the “dog eating capital” of China, it is critical to let California’s Governor Jerry Brown and San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee know that their constituents do not support ties to a region that allows the torture and consumption of dogs and cats. If such a relationship continues, Brown and Lee should use their positions of power to encourage Guangdong’s Governor, Zhu XiaoDan, to put an end to the barbaric industry.

Where: Union Square, San Francisco, California

If you can make it, please bring your dog(s) and family and friends, to show your support for those animals suffering overseas. Join us for a short march which will be followed by speakers and presenters. There will also be activities for children including coloring a picture of Duo Duo’s mascot to send to Governor Brown, as well as making dog and cat toys to send to shelters in Guangdong.
