Thanks to the generous contributions of our dedicated supporters, one hundred amazing kangaroos and their baby joeys are now safe.

Compassion has won the day and now one hundred of these iconic emblems of Australia’s great Outback look not down the barrel of a hunter’s gun but rather towards the safe horizon of a new home. With an immense outpouring of help from our supporters and from our partners at The Australian Society for Kangaroos, one hundred of these gentle marsupials from the Bayles Fauna Reserve will now be safe from the kangaroo killing industry.

Although these lucky few have evaded the hunter’s bullet, thousands upon thousands will die every year in “culls,” often to make way for farmed animals to be exploited. So-called “management” programs are less about stewardship of an iconic species and more about the obscene profits to be made from turning a shy and indigenous animal into steaks and burgers, shoes and belts.
