Meet Lil’ Dumpling

Two-month-old Lil’ Dumpling had obviously been well looked after by his dog mum when he arrived at the IDA India Center. With the ever-present danger of being run over or badly injured on the mean and harried streets of Mumbai, his poor mother couldn’t protect him from it all.

He met with an accident and lost an eye. During his first days at the Center, he so missed his mum and siblings that he wouldn’t mix with the other animals or respond to us on the staff. Over the following days, with lots of TLC and care from our Vet, Dr. Shashikant and his assistant, Mr. Maggar, he started playing with his friends in the puppy pen and warming up to us. We’re confident that he’ll make a complete recovery.
