Meet Princess!

IDA-India’s rescue center in the Panvel, Raigad district of Navi Mumbai is the only animal center in the area and work there is very challenging as it gets numerous calls day and night for assistance. One such recent plea for help from a longtime volunteer, Kinnera Gudipaty, was for a dog she helped rescue named Princess. Princess was in terrible pain due to the pus accumulation in an old infected wound. The accumulation was so large that she could barely move as her head was tilting to one side.

Like all very sick animals in distress, Princess was fearful and was avoiding capture. Finally, after three days, Kinnera managed to corner her and called our animal ambulance, which immediately responded. She was operated on soon after and two liters of pus and water accumulation was removed. Ten days later, after a full recovery, she was released.

Kinnera has adopted Princess and reposts that she is healthy, putting on weight and never leaves her side.
