Hope Animal Sanctuary Director Doll Stanley and volunteer Lisa Martin departed the sanctuary this past Sunday afternoon and proceeded to pick up animals from all over northern Mississippi. In addition to the animals on this transport from Hope Animal Sanctuary and the Winona, Mississippi city shelter, animals were pulled from shelters and individual rescuers from Carthage, Clarksdale, Cleveland and Indianola. The final tally of animals on this transport was a mind-blowing 85 dogs and 11 cats. By far our biggest and most ambitious transport to date.
Everything went smoothly, including the unexpected roadside rescue of a dog found wandering alongside a busy highway in north Mississippi. Delta Dawn, as she’s now named, joined the transport and was welcomed with open arms by the good folks at Every Creature Counts. Many of the animals from this transport will be adopted this weekend at a adoption events held in and around the Denver area.
We’re so grateful to our rescue partners, Every Creature Counts, for their continued support in helping us find homes for dogs and cats who otherwise would have no hope of finding a good home. We want to thank Dr. Phil Bushby and his team from Mississippi State University’s vet program who spayed/neutered most of the animals on this transport. Finally, thanks to HAS volunteers Debbie Young and Sherri Norquist for hours of data entry work that made this transport go so smoothly.
This video is good…..

Dear Doll:
Thanks so much for giving these animals a 2nd chance at life. If you are interested in finding out a way to have residual income coming in for your non profit, my company Melaleuca, Inc. has a non profit division which gives 5% back to your non profit after your patrons do their shopping at our headquarters in Idaho Falls or Knoxville. I have been with them for 28 years and it helps if you have an extra $500 a month or more coming in. WE also have non toxic cleaning, laundry and pet care products. I can send you some free products, if you are interested.

I could cry. I’m so happy and thankful for this mercy & compassion that is being shown to our family pets. My God! What would we do without generous people like this willing to open their hearts and homes to these little creatures; they give as much love as they get! Special prayers for those in MISSISSIPPI for their love & caring. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Godspeed & God Bless!

Doll Stanley, her group of rescuers and IDA never cease to amaze me. Without the efforts of Hope Sanctuary, Mississippi would be just another 3rd world country for needy animals. Their efforts for these animals are so greatly appreciated. Everything is always so well orchestrated for the benefit of the animals and thanks to these rescuers, animals have a second chance and don’t just become statistics. How can we say thank you enough?
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your help in your efforts!
I love animals, they are my best friends. Thank you for your work. God bless you.
Thank the Lord for you guys. Thank you for that monumental job.
THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID AND I’M SURE WILL CONTINUE TO DO.

I want no world without animals. They make this world so beautiful and deserve our admiration, love and respect. Congratulations on your wonderful work
You are certainly angels for all the work you do to find these animals homes. Las Vegas could use someone like you who could transport some of our homeless, abandoned animals as well as those on death row at the County Shelter (Lied Foundation) the only kill shelter here. Our Shelters are packed with animals, mostly because of the economy. Our shelters, including the ASPCA are so full they can’t accept any more animals. We have bunnies, birds, pigs, but mostly dogs and cats. I wish we could find some one like your group to help. I work as an independent volunteer to send out e-mails about dogs and cats needing rescue from the Kill shelter, dogs and cats that have be found as strays and not claimed, animals that need medical care and donations to see that they receive it and try to connect people with available animals. We make sure that each animal has its shots and is healthy. We also try to find foster homes for animals that just need a place to live with loving care for awhile.
Las Vegas is overwhelmed with animals. I pray everyday that we could find a way to save more of them. God Bless You!
What a beautiful story. Please continue the great work that you do. And we must educate people down south in abandoning these innocent souls.
