San Diego Eateries Celebrate IDA’s World Go Vegan Days Area Restaurants Provide Discounts During Days of Observance San Diego—In Defense of Animals (IDA)’s annual World Go Vegan Days (October 27, 28, and 29) was created to offer vegans and animal advocates an opportunity to help their families, friends and co-workers learn more about how a plant-based diet can improve overall health, alleviate animal suffering and preserve the environment. In celebration of World Go Vegan Days, several San Diego-area restaurants are offering special discounts between October 27 and 29 to encourage people to explore the wide range of tasty vegan foods available on their menus. Sipz Fuzion Cafe and Rancho’s Mexican and Vegetarian Cuisine will be offering each meat eater a half-priced vegan meal for every vegan who pays full price for a meal. Kung Food will also be participating in World Go Vegan Days by handing out FREE soy-soft serve ice cream to non-vegans on these three days. For a complete list of participating restaurants, please visit WorldGoVeganDays.com. Modern animal agriculture is cruel and violent toward the chickens, cows, pigs and other creatures used to make meat, milk and eggs. But the billions of animals killed for food in the U.S. each year aren’t the only ones who suffer because of meat consumption. Consumers who overindulge in meat and dairy foods also pay a high price, as consumption of animal products has been linked to a host of health ailments. “Veganism enables people to live in balance with all of Earth's creatures and promote freedom for animals from exploitation as part of their everyday lives,” says IDA spokesperson and professional bodybuilder Kenneth Williams. “For the health of people, the environment, and farmed animals, veganism is the best choice. World Go Vegan Days embodies this idea.” For more information, please visit www.WorldGoVeganDays.com. |
