Noah is Healing From a Broken Leg!

Noah is Healing From a Broken Leg!

Early in April, Sharon Stone, Operations Manager of In Defense of Animals’ Hope Animal Sanctuary received a call for help for puppies that needed rescue.  When the first puppy was handed off to Sharon, she noticed immediately that his right rear leg was horribly swollen and the puppy clearly did not feel well.

After loading all 5 of the puppies into her vehicle, Sharon rushed the pup with the swollen leg to our veterinarian, Dr. Daniel Hill, who confirmed what she suspected; the pup’s leg had a severe break.  Dr. Hill performed surgery and placed a pin in the pup’s leg and after 4 days, he was ready to go into a foster home.

Carolyn Blakemore offered to foster Noah during his recovery.  With guidance from Dr. Hill, Noah was given physical therapy to keep his knee from fusing.  Noah has full range of motion in his leg and will be leaving today, on June 2, headed to his forever home.

Your donations made it possible to save Noah’s leg and to give him the wonderful life he deserves.

Please help us help more animals just like him.
