As some of you may know, quite some years ago, with many of IDA’s life saving victories and accomplishments behind us, and with so very much more challenges in front of us, and lives to save, we realized that unless we began to challenge and attempt to end the root cause of the widespread enslavement, exploitation, abuse, suffering and deaths of millions upon millions of animals that occurs daily across our nation and around the world, progress was destined to be very slow.

We are referring to the commonly held paradigm, belief and actions of animal ownership that considers and treats other sentient beings as little, or nothing more than objects, property, commodities and things.
