The Hershey Company is the largest chocolate manufacturer in North America, and has a huge presence worldwide. Despite its size, Hershey’s doesn’t currently offer any cruelty-free chocolate. With Valentine’s Day coming up, it’s time to tell Hershey’s – we want a dairy-free kiss!
Earlier this week, Ben and Jerry’s announced four new dairy-free ice creams, following other big companies like Starbucks, Ikea, Subway, Chipotle and White Castle which plan to, or are already providing more cruelty-free options. This is great news for millions of animals and consumers!
Some people considering the transition to plant-based eating cringe at the thought of giving up milk chocolate. Just imagine being able to say to them, “You can do it! Have you tried Hershey’s new dairy-free chocolate kisses? You can pick them up at any supermarket. They’re amazing!”
There are already some delicious dairy-free chocolates out there, but if we want plant-based eating to become mainstream, it’s important that we pressure large mainstream corporations to hop on board with cruelty-free options too!
Big companies are willing to meet our demands. However, they simply won’t change unless we can prove there is a larger market for dairy-free products, so join us and tell Hershey’s we want dairy-free kisses now!
