Sharon Stone,  Operations Manager for In Defense of Animals’ Hope Animal Sanctuary, received a call for help.  A female dog had wandered up to a family’s home, and she was exceedingly hungry and very haggard looking.  They took her in, bathed her and gave her plenty of love and food.

One month later, she surprised them by giving birth to 7 beautiful babies.  They knew they wanted the pups to have great homes so they asked for our help!  The loving family kept the pups until it was time for them to be weaned from their loving mama , and then we picked them up and placed them in a foster home.

There, they continued to thrive and grow into beautiful pups.  During their time in foster, they were given vaccinations, worming medication, flea prevention and heartworm prevention.   All of the puppies went to forever homes early in May and are living as members of those families!
