Revoke License of Cruel Veterinarian

In April, Texan Veterinarian Kristen Lindsey, DVM, posted a picture on her Facebook page of herself with a cat. The much loved housecat, Tiger, who had lived next door up until that point, however, was dead from an arrow through his head, and the veterinarian was holding the other end of the arrow and smiling. Naturally, this caused an uproar all over social media with many animal rights organizations and outraged individuals demanding that Dr. Lindsey be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. However, in an unthinkable move, the Austin County Grand Jury returned with a “no bill” against Dr. Lindsey, stating there was insufficient evidence.

We disagree. Not only is Lindsey holding the dead cat by the end an arrow, but also she states, directly, that this was her first bow kill. She then goes on to joke that the only good feral tomcat was a dead one; all of which seems like sufficient evidence of intent to kill and lack of remorse in doing so.

Kristen Lindsey chose to become a veterinarian, a career founded in compassion, and when she did, she took an oath to protect and help animals, not callously kill them, and devastate their loving families as well. Even though she was fired from her job at the Washington Animal Clinic in Brenham, Texas, she still remains a licensed veterinarian and is still able to practice animal medicine in Texas and other states.
