Each year since the early 1990’s in the land “down under,” kangaroos have fallen victim to corporate greed and exploitation. For nearly three decades, the most iconic species of an entire continent has been the victim of government sanctioned “culls” in which hunters are allowed to recklessly blast away at mobs of kangaroos slaying the young and the old alike. These sanctioned mass killings are conducted under the pretense of management efforts with the stated aim of controlling kangaroo populations, but the real story is that the kangaroos are killed for their flesh and hides and are a source of immense profit for those wishing to exploit these shy and withdrawn animals.

Large scale cattle operations have also joined in the slaughter as kangaroos are killed in vast numbers year after year by greedy cattle ranchers protecting grazing land from this indigenous species now often sadly perceived as a pest.
