Here at In Defense of Animals, we take pride in how many animals we have rescued and found homes for, as well as those who live at Hope Animal Sanctuary (HAS) in Mississippi. While we are always busy saving dogs right here in Mississippi, we also recently saved five otherwise doomed dogs, Valencia, Billy, Barbara, Paul, and Kurt, from being brutally tortured and slaughtered in South Korea.

It is our pleasure to announce that Kurt has been adopted! His friends are still patiently waiting at our sanctuary to find their forever homes. In the meantime, our dedicated staff members are giving them all the care, love and attention they need.

We were able to rescue the Slaughterhouse Five in a crucial time of need. The dog meat trade in South Korea is terrible and one of the many outrageous forms of animal abuse that we battle each and every day.
