Starving Horses Need Your Help

February 20th, 2014 by Web Team

Can we count on YOUR support NOW?

The moment IDA learned of four dead horses, now skeletons, and 17 others nearly dying of starvation in Mississippi’s unseasonably cold winter the staff at Hope Animal Sanctuary (HAS) leaped into “crisis mode” – without hesitation!

As an IDA supporter, you should expect nothing less from IDA.  SEVENTEEN innocent lives hang in the balance, NOW.  We are deeply saddened that four horses perished before we arrived on the scene.

The immediate priority is food – hay – and that alone costs almost $100 a day.  With your support WE WILL DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO ENSURE THAT THE HORSES DON’T STARVE TO DEATH.

Meanwhile, aggressively, we are assessing this situation, exploring our possible next moves – such as: new pasture, transport options, and veterinary care.  We will keep you informed.

But time is of the essence.  Please be generous NOW – as generous as possible!
