Retirement Plans:
If you don't want to see your retirement assets absorbed by income and possibly estate taxes, then you may want to use your retirement plan to make a gift to IDA. Usually with just a "change of beneficiary" form, individuals can direct that retirement assets be used to make a gift from their estate, and thus preserve the rest of their estate for their families and friends.

Life Income Gifts:

You can make a gift now to IDA from which you will receive lifetime income and tax benefits. Two examples of this are Gift Annuities or Charitable Remainder Trusts. Determining the right plans for you depends on a number of factors including your age, type of assets, income needs and financial objectives.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your policy of offering charitable gift annuities to your members. Please continue to do so. It is such a wonderful way for members to make a substantial gift to help the animals while offering a nice income stream and tax benefits. I am presently looking forward to receiving my third annuity.Thank you again for making them available.
For the animals, an IDA Annuitant
Very truly yours, Alice
Workplace Giving:
Many IDA members double their gift giving by participating in their employers Matching Gifts Programs. When you participate in this valuable program, your donations are matched, usually 100% by your employer. Be sure to ask your personnel representative about Matching Gifts.

Many of the ways listed above can provide significant tax and financial benefits to you and your loved ones. Please remember that the information we have supplied is of a general nature only. Advice from legal counsel should be sought when considering these types of gifts.
