Tiny Puppy Narrowly Avoids Deadly Tires

A little flash of white was all one Mississippi driver saw before she hit the brakes on her car and saw the tiny creature run into a brush pile. Pulling over to check on the animal, the driver was shocked to find a small, white puppy covered with fleas and ticks. This poor baby clearly needed help, so the kind-hearted woman took him home and gave him a much needed bath.

Two days later the baby boy, now named Wilbur (because, after all, he does look like a piglet!), was given over to the care of Sharon Stone, Operations Manager at In Defense of Animals’ Hope Animal Sanctuary.

Wilbur, who weighs only 4 pounds, has been given an initial vaccination and worming medication at our sanctuary. He is an active, happy boy with a surprisingly loud bark for such a little guy! Soon, this precious boy will be ready for a home of his very own.

Please consider donating to In Defense of Animals and help us save more cute little babies, just like Wilbur!
