Zel and Reuben Allen are a dynamic vegan duo! Together, they publish “Vegetarians in Paradise,” an online vegan magazine read by over 100,000 visitors each month. For 16-plus years, they have written and edited articles that provide a wide range of resources for the vegan community. The publication spotlights Zel’s humorous illustrations and innovative recipes.

Zel also wrote two cookbooks, “Vegan for the Holidays,” with tantalizing, classic, and memorable holiday dishes that rival traditional holiday recipes and “The Nut Gourmet,” a vegan cookbook featuring 150 unique, totally nutty recipes. You can find Zel blogging on her NutGourmet Blog, a cozy niche for tons of nut related endeavors. Zel has published articles on exotic vegan dining in Vegetarian Journal, and Vegan Health and Fitness Magazine. She teaches cooking classes at Glendale Community College Community Services and offers free, hands-on cooking classes at Los Angeles County libraries.
