Victory for Canada geese families at “Hidden Pond” in Raritan, New Jersey!
Here is a great example of how your calls and letters to officials can make a huge difference for animals.
Last week, we asked our supporters in New Jersey to help protect Canada geese families residing at the “Hidden Pond” condo complex in Raritan, New Jersey.
Our supporters followed through to fight for the geese – they made calls and sent over 500 letters to the Home Owners Association (HOA) to oppose their brutal plan to kill the geese. As a result, the HOA decided not to take any further actions against the geese and their families in 2013!
This is a wonderful victory for these geese families who now can live in peace, at least until the end of 2013. We will keep a close eye on any activities by the HOA board at Hidden Pond to protect these geese. The board will have their annual meeting next January, 2014.
A huge thank you to all of you who are incredibly committed and dedicated, and consistently take action by calling and e-mailing on behalf of animals—your efforts are paying off… keep going!
