With IDA’s Help, Deer Contraception Project
Is Beginning In Hastings-on-Hudson!

And you can help! Orientation meeting Thursday, May 9

White tail deer, US FWSMeet Hasting-on-Hudson’s Mayor Peter Swiderski on Thursday, May 9 and learn about an exciting deer contraception project, including volunteer opportunities! IDA strongly endorses contraception as a tool to prevent the killing of deer.

This project needs people to help gather and interpret metrics on deer population, set up and monitor enclosures in the woods to document how a fenced-off patch of woods restores itself, and then help in the January, 2014 contraception darting by standing guard at entry points or helping the team in a variety of other ways.
