Woman Charged for Brutally Throwing Ex-Boyfriend’s Dog

Actions Caught on Video Late Last Year

On Wednesday, January 6, 2016 in Fairfield, California, Solano County prosecutors had 31 year old Brandi Chin of Fairfield arrested and charged with throwing her ex-boyfriend’s dog, a pug, on the pavement during a raging altercation with him. The incident was captured on video on December 19th, 2015. Allegedly Chin evaded an investigation by hiding from law enforcement, but was located. The San Francisco Chronicle reported Chin was charged with felony animal cruelty and abuse.

Chin was seen throwing the pug into a puddle on pavement in a video that went viral and prompted Fairfield Police and Solano County Animal Services to investigate.  Authorities arrested Chin in Vallejo and took possession of the dog, Benny.

The video first posted on Facebook shows Chin lugging Benny by his front leg then flinging him toward her boyfriend.  Benny rolled over several times before Chin’s ex-boyfriend scooped him up and confronted her, engaging in further confrontation.
Reportedly this wasn’t the first time Chin abused Benny.  In an earlier incident, Chin was reportedly seen swinging Benny by his leg.  It is not known if this incident was reported.

Without testimony from Chin’s ex-boyfriend and persons within Chin’s circle there is only guessing to establish how many times and in how many ways Chin abused Benny.
