Calling on Friends of Elephants in Portland, Oregon!
April 16th Rally for Packy’s 54th Birthday at Oregon Zoo
Join In Defense of Animals along with Free the Oregon Zoo Elephants (FOZE) and Friends of Woodland Park Zoo Elephants (FoWPZE) on April 16th to let Packy know that we continue to advocate for his freedom. Packy, North America’s oldest living elephant, has spent every one of his birthdays as a captive at the Oregon Zoo. Along with his decades of isolation, he now suffers from TB, and a long, sad list of other zoo-related illnesses.
Join us to help deliver the message that Packy, and all other captives deserve their freedom, and should be retired to accredited sanctuaries.
What: Rally for Packy’s 54th Birthday
Where: Oregon Zoo – 4001 SW Canyon Rd, Portland, OR 97221
Joe’s Cool Bus will be parked in front of Food Fight on SE Stark between SE 12 and 13th. Hop on the bus and get a free ride to the zoo. Joe and his bus will pick us up at 1:30 pm and bring us back after the rally.
