Can You Have Your Deviled Eggs & Eat Them Too?

In the 6th episode of In Defense of Animals’ Vegan Cooking and Food Psychology show, we’re going to learn to make something you probably thought couldn’t be made vegan - cute, smoky little deviled eggs. They make an incredible appetizer or snack, perfect for your 4th of July festivities.

While we have fun learning how to prepare our smoky little devils, we’ll hear from our organization’s president, Dr. Marilyn Kroplick, a psychiatrist, and the founder of our Carnivores Anonymous 12-step program that helps people to transition to plant-based lifestyles.

Building on the work we’ve done on ourselves throughout the series, we’ll focus on one of the most critical and sometimes most challenging aspects of breaking our ingrained habits: our willingness to change. Sounds easy, right? Of course we want to change: that’s why we’re doing all this work!

Actually, it can be bit scary to embrace a vision of ourselves without the self-defeating traits that have kept us trapped in addiction to animal products despite our best intentions. Dr. Marilyn will share her own insights about cultivating the willingness to change that will make us truly ready to be free of our pasts.
