Portland, Oregon: Join Carnivores Anonymous as We Host Vegan Nutrition Educator
Do you wonder how to be healthy as a vegan? Join our upcoming Carnivores Anonymous Meeting to ask vegan nutrition educator Daniel Redwood questions about health and wellness while adopting a plant-based diet. You will receive support, encouragement, and acceptance from our group members, who are also on the same path toward improved health.
Carnivores Anonymous is a 12-step support group to help people recover from the harmful effects of eating meat and dairy products. Our January speaker, Daniel Redwood, DC, is the Director of the Master of Science in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine program at the University of Western States, where he teaches courses in whole food nutrition and plant-based nutrition.
Dr. Redwood practiced as a chiropractor with a strong emphasis on nutrition for 25 years in Virginia and Washington, DC, and later taught clinical nutrition at Cleveland Chiropractic College. He was the first chiropractor to speak at the National Institutes of Health and the National Museum of Medicine and was a founding board member of The Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine. He has also presented on plant-based nutrition as part of the Northwest VEG’s MasterVeg and 22-Day Vegan Challenge programs.
A vegan for 14 years, Daniel is also a singer-songwriter whose most recent recordings are the animal rights album, Songs for Animals, People and the Earth, and the single, “Just Like Us.” Access Daniel’s music on his website and YouTube channel.
