Case Against Captivity Soundly Made During Discussion on Conservative Radio Show

Sometimes, discussing issues with the “other side” is helpful - especially when you can make your case clearly and effectively.

In Defense of Animals was recently invited to appear on Lars Larson’s conservative radio show and podcast to discuss the stunning CITES decision late last month to ban the live trade of elephants from Africa. The 13-minute broadcast covered the ethics of captivity and the lack of benefit to animals, including people, or to conservation efforts that zoos provide, and how animals in zoos are abused to the point of being mere shadows of their true selves.
