Our annual 10 Worst Zoos for Elephants in North America list regularly makes headlines for shaming zoos for their shockingly cruel treatment and confinement of elephants. From hazardous interactions between elephants and human guests to heartless breeding operations, we expose the most egregious acts committed by zoos that would otherwise go unchallenged.

This year, we would like to hear your nominations! What zoo with captive elephants do you nominate to be shamed on our 10 Worst Zoos list? Please send your nomination to elephants@idausa.org. If you have images or video footage of elephants confined at the zoo you’re nominating, or examples of how they suffered in 2021, please send them in your email! Our committee of elephant experts will fully vet each and every nominated zoo. Nominations must be received by December 10, 2021.
