4 Puppies Cruelly Dismembered in Texas

A Texas man has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after brutally dismembering four out of a group of 6 puppies. Urge the district attorney to prosecute this case to the fullest extent!

In June, Justin Belton showed up at Sunset 24/7 Animal Hospital at 6 a.m. with six puppies, four of whom had been mutilated. Two were each missing a leg, another a foot, and a fourth had two legs missing.

Their veterinarian Dr. Gabriela Vega told the media the case was “very horrific, super disturbing.” Tragically, two of the puppies did not survive the ordeal, but the others are expected to recover and get a second chance.

In Defense of Animals

Belton was arrested at the hospital, and charged with four counts of felony animal cruelty. His initial arraignment was delayed because two on-call defense attorneys refused to represent him because of the nature of his crime.

When a search warrant was executed at his home, authorities found a dead female dog who was believed to be the puppies' mother, along with several other dogs who had been left in an “unsanitary and confined condition.”
