Animals Tortured To Death in Mississippi Bestiality Case Cry For Justice

This alert is no longer active, but here for reference. Animals still need your help.

A Mississippi man is facing charges for animal cruelty and bestiality, thanks to a tip reported to police. Demand maximum penalties in this case.

According to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, on September 26, 2024, the office received information about animals being tortured and killed while being recorded on video. Deputies responded to the address to conduct a welfare check and identified the suspect as Mason McMullin who was taken in for questioning and placed in custody while a search warrant was served at the residence.

In Defense of Animals

The next day, investigators received more information, which led to the execution of a second search warrant and the collection of physical and electronic evidence.

Our Justice for Animals' Senior Campaigner Doll Stanley had recently met with this Sheriff's Office to share information and ideas on appropriately addressing animal cruelty.

McMullin was initially charged with seven counts of aggravated animal cruelty and two counts of unnatural intercourse and was held on a $500,000 cash-only bond.

In Defense of Animals

In October, an additional cash-only bond of $75,000 was added and 10 new charges of aggravated animal cruelty, two counts of unnatural intercourse, and seven of abuse to livestock were tacked on, which brings the number of his current charges to 28.

The victims include dogs and other animals considered “livestock” but the numbers and species are mostly undisclosed.

Letter to Decision Maker(s) for reference:

Subject: Prosecute Mason McMullin

I am writing to you to support the aggressive prosecution of defendant Mason McMullin, arrested on September 26, 2024, in Foxworth, Mississippi, for the vile crimes of unnatural intercourse with animals and aggravated cruelty for torturing and killing animals, while recording his acts on video.

He is facing 28 charges he must be held fully accountable for, and he must not only be incarcerated but also mandated an intense mental health evaluation and subsequent treatment. His cruelty must be punished before his perversity leads to the exploitation and brutal treatment of more innocent animals or human children.

I will be following this case to its fruition and ask you to present my letter from justice-seeking individuals who are also watching this case.

Thank you for your consideration of this important matter.

Sincerely,

Signed
