A Florida woman is facing federal prison after being charged with conspiring to create and share crush videos of monkeys being tortured and killed. Urge the U.S. Attorney's Office to seek maximum sentencing in this case!

Crush videos, or crush porn, depict animals being tortured, mutilated, and killed for the sexual gratification and sadistic satisfaction of viewers. The creation, sale, and distribution of these videos was banned in 2010 under the Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act, which was strengthened in 2019 by the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act, which made involvement a federal crime.

A multi-state investigation into an international group of up to 60 people using Telegram ultimately led to the arrest of Nicole Devilbiss, who was charged with conspiracy to create and distribute crush videos of monkeys of various ages.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, group members shared videos, discussed how they wanted to see monkeys tortured, and paid to have people in Indonesia make videos. An investigator's affidavit included in the complaint states Devilbiss was identified as one of the group's administrators from June 2022 through at least May 2023, and screenshots of messages she sent paint a horrifying picture of her involvement and particular interest in seeing babies tortured.

She was indicted on November 15. If convicted, she faces five years in federal prison, which isn't nearly enough, but it's a start, and we must ensure that she faces this punishment at the very least.

Before being released to an unsuspecting public, she must also undergo a mental evaluation, get treatment, and be forbidden from living or working with animals for the remainder of her life.
