Thanks for Celebrating Activist Appreciation Month with Us!
This February, we celebrated Activist Appreciation Month with posts and programs that honored your activism for animals. You can still read our activist spotlights and tributes, sign our alert demanding justice for Regan Russell, and watch replays from our online events.
We featured Black vegan activists who are making history, celebrated our first Homo Ahimsa Award recipients, showcased the first vegan treatment program for eating disorders, and honored our animal neighbors for Interfaith Harmony Week.
To support activists on the front lines, we offered a micro-grant to animal advocates in Indonesia who rescued street dogs from being poisoned, and we helped Silent Patient purchase a new computer for its humane education program in Uganda, Africa. We also sponsored the Afro-Vegan Society’s Veguary, a month-long pledge to commit to plant-based eating via Black vegan trailblazer videos.
We hope you will continue to join our ongoing activist programs like our monthly online support groups and free counseling via our Support Line: www.idausa.org/ActivistSupport. You can also find plenty of physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual resources on our Activist Resource List, including a list of vegan therapists. We’ve got you covered all year long!
