CBS: Stop Supporting Electrocution of Animals for Fur

CBS: Stop Supporting Electrocution of Animals for Fur

This alert is no longer active, but here for reference. Animals still need your help.

People who care about animals nationwide were disappointed and horrified as they watched rapper Big Boi prance around on stage wearing a giant fur coat during his halftime performance at the Super Bowl. Fur-bearing animals suffer in cruel leg-hold traps or are anally electrocuted on fur farms, yet CBS continues to glorify fur on national television. We must put an end to this!

Despite fur ban ordinances in Los Angeles and San Francisco and top fashion designers like Armani, Gucci, and Burberry publicly renouncing fur, CBS continues to promote not only entertainers who brazenly wear fur, but also specifically to showcase them while they’re wearing it. It’s time for the network to embrace our evolving culture and recognize activists who work tirelessly to end the inhumane fur industry, which continues to trap and anally-electrocute animals for profit.

Let’s join with fellow animal activists and ask CBS to apologize and to adopt a network-wide fur-free policy. Together, we can move from the Stone Age to our modern era of compassion in fashion and all human endeavors.
